About Kart Carolina
In 2016, Kart Carolina started as a small arrive and drive school. We bring decades of racing passion and years of first-hand championship experience together to offer you some of the most fun you can have on four wheels.
Kart Carolina is the ultimate way to experience kart racing. We offer driving consultation and support for every skill level, from beginner to experienced, ages 8 to 80!! Getting into racing can be difficult, and there are not many teams like us. Don't have your own apparel, helmet, or other gear? No problem, we have it! All you need to do is show up...
Our goal is to introduce racing to new and novice racers in the most fun, stress-free way possible. If you already purchased a kart... great! We can help you learn about it through our SUPPORT program. If not, Kart Carolina offers the first true arrive and drive experiences with race prepped sprint karts running LO206 engines by Briggs & Stratton... one of the hottest and fastest growing kart classes in North America. We offer experiences at both GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, NC as well as Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC running on asphalt road courses approximately .75 miles in length.
Using fully race prepped karts from top kart chassis manufacturers and dyno-tuned Briggs & Stratton LO206 4-cycle engines, we offer an easy introduction to kart racing without the commitment or expense of you having to purchase all of your own equipment without first experiencing sprint karting.
Using the same equipment mentioned above, these experiences give you a taste of race day. The LO206 class is quickly becoming one of the most popular racing classes in North America. Quick, fun, easy to work with... just some of the reasons this engine is behind the grassroots karting resurgence. And when you're ready to take your racing to the next level we work with several area racing teams who will help you step up your game.
We offer the easiest, most cost-efficient way to own your own kart. Instead of running out and spending several thousands of dollars we aim to save you money while putting you in a top-of-the-line, name brand equipment. This way you can enjoy learning the ropes instead of worrying about your kart or watching every penny. Then, as you progress in skill and level, you can be competitive for pennies on the dollar versus a new chassis. One of the biggest mistakes we see new racers make is to spend a fortune on a kart, only to not drive it to its full potential. We aim to change that to take the frustration and costs out of the sport for new racers and their families.
Want to race but not sure of the mechanics just yet? We offer basic race support under our tent which aims to teach you the karting basics to make your karting experience more enjoyable. We offer guidance to help you navigate your race event and teach basic setup and maintenance. We can also recommend full support and work with local race teams and tuners, depending on your needs.
